Original Benne Wafer
Unique to the Low Country since Colonial times, Benne (which is the Bantu word for sesame) was brought from East Africa and planted extensively throughout the South. Many Low Country recipes call for this tasty toasted seed, but none is so loved as the Benne Wafer.
